The two queen teams of their respective conferences, Minnesota (west) and Boston (east) offered a superb matchup at the home of the Celtics. Boston, without its Latvian pivot Kristaps Porzingis (right knee), outdid itself after overtime (127-120) to remain undefeated this season in its TD Garden (18 wins).

But the Timberwolves, while deprived ;; of their leader Mike Conley and pivot Rudy Gobert, they felt victory in their grasp several times. Up by 9 points with 3 minutes left, a run by Jayson Tatum allowed the Celtics to take the lead, before Edwards hit overtime.

The scenario repeated itself during the extra 5 minutes, with a small lead for Wolves before Tatum, unmarkable, scored the last 9 points of the game for a personal total of 45.

In San Francisco, the Warriors were humiliated by New Orleans 141-105, suffering their heaviest home loss under Steve Kerr, who has been in charge since 2014. The "Dubs" are only 12th in the Western Conference (17 wins- 20 losses), out of the qualifying places for the playoffs.

Six days after celebrating his twentieth birthday, Victor Wembanyama became the fifth-youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double, helping the Spurs dominate the Pistons in Detroit (130-108). The French put together 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in just 21 minutes. He became the fifth-youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double (more than 10 units in three statistical areas), behind Josh Giddey, LaMelo Ball, Markelle Fultz and Luka Doncic, all of whom performed at 19 years old.
