The 65-year-old woman stabbed by her husband on the afternoon of Wednesday 10 January in an apartment in Via Galluppi, in the Borgo Filadelfia district of Turin, did not make it. She died this evening at the Molinette hospital where she was hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
His condition immediately appeared very serious due to the injuries inflicted by the 70-year-old man, who was arrested immediately afterwards by the police. In fact, the woman had undergone emergency surgery and had her spleen removed. She had been stabbed with a knife, at the height of a quarrel, several times, in the abdomen and back. A deep wound had reached his diaphragm and stomach.
The 70-year-old, a former tire dealer, was also transferred to the Molinette, in the detainee ward, as his psychiatric conditions were not compatible with detention in prison. In front of the public prosecutor Roberto Furlan, who is coordinating the investigation, he had exercised his right not to answer.
The couple had been married for about 40 years, with two children.
