Paul Araj, a member of the delegation of the National Union of Syrian Expatriates in Europe, stressed that the Damascus International Fair is in continuous development and there is an increase in the number of companies participating in it compared to the last two sessions and the diversity of services and goods offered in all pavilions.
In a statement to reporters, Araj expressed his hope that the pace of production in Syria will accelerate in a way that enables expatriates to conclude deals to bring their products to the European markets, noting that there are commercial opportunities in the current session and the opportunity is set to create a good working environment for companies interested in trade with Syria.
For his part, Maan Al-Jubairi, a member of the delegation from Stockholm and the director of a Swedish company, said that Syrian goods are characterized by quality in European markets, which is competitive with other goods.He pointed out that there is a large Syrian and Iraqi community in Sweden and wants only Syrian products regardless of price such as oils, thyme and flowers.
Al-Jubairi pointed out the importance of marketing and promoting Syrian products and explaining their descriptions, stressing the readiness of expatriates to provide all possible assistance to Syria and support the advancement of its economy.
These statements came during a tour by the delegation of the General Union of Syrian Expatriates to a number of booths of the Damascus International Fair, where the members of the delegation expressed their desire to increase the volume of Syrian exports and secure access to European markets.
