In the presence of a number of Arab and foreign companies, the Ministry of Transport today presented the investment projects it has in its various sectors within the forum `` Investment and Investment Opportunities in Transport Sectors '', which was held today within the activities of the Damascus International Fair in its sixty-first session, out of its interest in encouraging investment and offering investment opportunities available in Syria.
Participants in the forum pointed out its importance because it is being held for the first time within the exhibition to identify the most important investment opportunities and an opportunity to communicate with foreign companies to conclude cooperation agreements in this regard, stressing that it came to highlight the points of attraction and investment in the transport sectors, which constitute a key lever for the work of all sectors of development and construction in Syria. .
The participants presented several projects through which the ministry seeks to develop work with the countries participating in the exhibition with a focus on the investment side, stressing that the continuation of the rotation and acceleration of the economy is the project of the Ministry of Transport, which seeks to achieve through huge investment projects working to strengthen the bridges between Syria and the world in cooperation with countries and delegations .
Eng.Najib Fares, Director General of the Syrian Railways Organization, spoke to SANA on all the possibilities and facilities provided for the success of the work of investors and the completion of cooperation in the reconstruction phase, pointing to the railway link with Iraq, which starts from the Syrian ports in accordance with international technical and service specifications.
Director of Investment and Passenger Transport at the Ministry of Transport Mohammed Waseem Mardini explained that the presence of foreign and Arab delegations and companies in light of the siege imposed on Syria to discuss investment opportunities in it constitutes a new victory, pointing out that the investment forum came to put projects in the transport sectors “rail projects, trains, maritime, land and transport” To be in the hands of investors in the reconstruction phase and to overcome all the difficulties facing any investor who wishes to invest in Syria.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Mohammad Samer Al-Khalil and Higher Education Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Oil and Mineral Resources Engineer Ali Ghanem, Public Works and Housing Suhail Abdul Latif, Social Affairs and Labor Reema Qadri, Minister of State for Organizations Affairs Dr. Salwa Abdullah and member of the Central Command of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Ammar Al-Sibai and Governor Damascus countryside Alaa Ibrahim and a number of managers at the Ministry of Transport.
