Listeria in the cheese and in the production facility - the Franconian wholesaler Jürgen Würth warns of the cheese varieties "Tomme d'Alsace fat" and "Tomme d'Alsace lean nature". They were sold in small quantities nationwide on cheese counters of various health food stores.
In products of the manufacturer and in the production Listeria monocytogenes were found, said the dealer. The bacteria can lead to diarrhea and fever.
"Especially pregnant women, seniors and people with weakened immune system can develop more severe disease patterns with blood poisoning and meningitis," it said in the recall. In pregnant women, the unborn child could be harmed even without symptoms.
