Gold prices fell today as some investors sold the precious metal for profit.
Reuters reported that gold in instant transactions fell 0.2 percent to 1529.14 dollars an ounce after rising to the highest level since the fifth of September at 1535.60 dollars yesterday.
The price of the yellow metal in futures trading in the United States 0.2 percent to reach 1,536.60 dollars an ounce.
Concerning other precious metals, palladium fell 0.2 percent to $ 1,670.06 an ounce after hitting a record peak of $ 1,676.53 earlier in the session.
Silver fell 0.4 percent to $ 18.51 an ounce, while platinum lost 0.3 percent to $ 950.60.
