The supermarkets Rewe and Penny recall several varieties of frozen pangasius fillets. A health impairment could not be excluded.

Due to contamination, supermarkets Rewe and discounter Penny have recalled frozen pangasius fillets from their range. Detergents residues were found, the Rewe group said. Consumption of the products is not recommended. A health impairment could "not be ruled out with final certainty".

Specifically, it is all penny products "Berida Pangasiusfilet 475g, frozen" with best before dates until March 2021. The EAN number, so the product identification, loud 24797016.

At Rewe, all products "Rewe Best Choice Pangasius Fillet 475g, Frozen" with best before dates are affected until March 2021. Here is the EAN number: 4388844046801. The products also have the factory number "DL 22", which can be found to the left of the drained weight.

The affected products are no longer in the range, it said in a statement. Already purchased Pangasiusfilets could therefore be returned without a receipt and refunded.
