The premiums for electric cars in Germany were rather sluggish. Meanwhile, more and more citizens are benefiting from the subsidy of the state when buying electric cars.
The number of applications has increased significantly in recent months, it said at the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control. By the end of September, there were a total of 141,000 applications. Following the Federal Government's decision to further improve funding conditions, it is expected that 200,000 new applications will be submitted next year. So far, around € 183 million of € 600 million has been disbursed. In addition, 22.6 million euros have already been approved.

For pure battery cars there are 4000 Euro each for the program, for hybrid cars 3000 Euro subsidy. The electric car must have a net list price for the base model of less than 60,000 euros. Half of the premium is funded by the federal government and the auto industry, which taxes another 600 million.
