The Confederation can expect more tax revenues of four billion euros in the current year than previously expected. This emerges from the prognosis published on Wednesday by the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin of the working group "Tax Estimates".
However, in the coming years, federal, state and local governments will have less money available than predicted in the previous forecast of May.
The federal, state and local governments will have to spend 1.7 billion euros less on tax revenues than previously expected next year. Taxpayers even expect a total of 7.1 billion euros less by 2023 than in the tax estimate in May, as the Ministry of Finance announced in Berlin on Wednesday.
