The frozen food service provider Iglo may in future use the Nutri score to label its products. The company said that it had reached an agreement with the Munich association "Schutzverband gegen Unwesen in der Wirtschaft" out of court. First own products with the Nutri score marking should be in February 2020 at the latest in the trade.
In addition to sugar, fat and salt, the Nutri-Score system also includes ingredients such as fiber or protein in a rating, and then gives a single score - on a five-point scale from dark green to red.
As a result of the agreement, Iglo has canceled an appeal hearing scheduled for November 14 before the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court for a restraining order. Hamburg Regional Court had previously ruled that the Nutri score was in breach of European food labeling rules and was therefore inadmissible in the course of business dealings.

In the dispute over it Iglo had left the top federation of the German food industry BLL (federation for food law and food science). This rejects the Nutri score and had its own system published and recommended.
Federal Nutrition Minister Julia Klöckner had hampered the general introduction of the Nutri score for a long time, but gave up its resistance in September. As a result, the retail chains Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd had announced to introduce the Nutri score.
