Oil prices fell on Monday as expectations of a China-US trade deal receded, casting a shadow over the global economic outlook and energy demand.
Brent crude futures fell 32 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $ 61.74 a barrel, while WTI crude futures were down 26 cents, or 0.5 percent, at $ 56.54 a barrel.
