The Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Suhail Mohammad Abdullatif, and the Iranian Minister of Roads and Townships, Eng.
The Executive Program aims at enhancing bilateral cooperation and moving forward within the framework of the areas mentioned in the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries in the field of housing and public services in Damascus on 28/1/2019, the implementation of joint cooperation projects, the study of their financing mechanisms and the integration of public services and housing.
The program also aims to provide the necessary facilities for the establishment of joint Iranian-Syrian companies for the purpose of reconstruction of housing units and the implementation of housing projects and public services projects in Syria in accordance with the laws in force in both countries.
One of the objectives of the Executive Program is to establish joint workshops to learn about the experiences of the two countries in the relevant fields.
The signing of the Executive Program of the Memorandum of Understanding was attended by the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran Dr. Adnan Mahmoud and the delegation accompanying Minister Abdul Latif.
Minister Abdul Latif held meetings with Iranian officials and representatives of the private and governmental sectors active in the field of public services and housing to achieve a qualitative leap in the bilateral cooperation process in accordance with the requirements of the next phase of reconstruction in Syria.
It is noteworthy that the meetings of the Syrian-Iranian Joint Committee in the field of public works and housing began yesterday in the Iranian capital Tehran at the headquarters of the Ministry of Roads and the construction of Iranian cities in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of construction.
