The Public Institution for Drinking Water in Hama Governorate has completed a number of projects and is working on completing other projects with the aim of feeding a number of thirsty towns and villages in Masyaf and Al-Ghab areas with drinking water and easing rationing.

In statements to SANA, the Director of the Foundation, Dr. Muteeh Abshi, pointed out that there are several projects under implementation and completion in the Ghab and Masyaf areas with the aim of improving the reality of drinking water, reducing wastage and encroachments on the network and reducing rationing programs with a total value exceeding LBP 1.1 billion.

Eng. Sawsan Orabi, director of the economic units at the Foundation, explained that the completed projects included replacing and renovating water lines and networks that ended their design life and became useless with the establishment of concrete tanks in several villages such as trees and trees and the Horat Amorin and Talat in the jungle and Kaf Habash and Tal Afar in the city of Masyaf, which is also witnessing the city project Water pumping lines and a tank with a capacity of 1000 cubic meters reached the completion rate of 20 percent.

He pointed out that the most important water projects currently underway in the region are filling the water line, which feeds the villages of al-Abar and al-Shajar with a diameter of 250 mm and a length of 6800 meters and is accomplished by the General Company for Construction and Reconstruction with a value of 226 million pounds to liquefy the water through pumping it from the Nahr el-Bared water station. Fawwar spring is expected to be put into service by the end of this year to contribute to reducing the rationing days in the villages of Abar and Al-Shajar.

He also pointed to the work to complete the project line length of 6 km with a high tank capacity of 200 cubic meters to contribute to feed the villages of Tulul, Sayah, Tatn and laurel from the source pumping station Nahr al-Bared and reduce the days of rationing.
