BER should be again 300 million euros more expensive

Airport BER: reopening

So far, 508 million euros have been earmarked for the period. Of this, about 400 million euros should be financed by unconditional loans. But there was still no agreement with a bank. According to the latest figures, the airport now needs € 792 million for the period.

As the "Bild am Sonntag" reported, the shareholders reacted angrily on the additional requirements and called on the management to rework. Last Friday, airport chief Engelbert Lütke Daldrup announced to the supervisory board that BER should be opened on 31 October 2020.
