The Central Bank of Syria announced that there was no change in the official exchange rate and remittance exchange rate, but a preferential price was given to United Nations organizations.
The bank said in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today that questions were received about the decision to grant remittances to United Nations organizations a preferential price, and therefore we show that these remittances constitute a special case for humanitarian purposes and are part of the operations that take place in foreign exchange, thus this will enable the organizations to increase their ability to Provide more support to families affected by the war and achieve their humanitarian goals.
In its statement, the bank confirmed that it had not changed the exchange rate and remained as specified according to the daily exchange rate bulletins issued by it.
