Fairy-tale castle, magical world, adventure with aliens: There are no limits to the imagination in the world of cinema. A gigantic amusement park around the topic film is to emerge now at the gates of London.

In the east of London, on the banks of the Thames, in the coming years, a destination of huge scale built: "The London Resort" would open in 2024, the developers said - and now publish the first pictures of a park with six theme worlds.

The animations show rides, a castle and a glass dome with Union Jack and in front of it an imposing gate. It will be the entrance to the amusement park, where visitors are to be let loose on carousels, restaurants, shops, hotels and a water park.

The park is said to be built in Swanscombe, Kent, just 17 minutes from the capital. The area is 216 hectares, about the size of 136 Wembley stadiums. The plan is to have 3,500 hotel rooms.

Immodest is the talk of a "first class amusement park". One wants to maximize "all the new impressive technologies", as the head of London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH), PY Gerbeau, says. The cost is estimated at 3.5 billion pounds, equivalent to about 4.15 billion euros, according to the British newspaper "Independent".

The London Resort: "Landing Zone for the 23rd Century"

Thematically, the park should be based on the world of cinema. The creators have signed contracts with BBC Worldwide, the British Film Institute and the US film production company Paramount Pictures, which has starred "Star Trek" and "Mission: Impossible." Above the entrance will be the lettering.

In a message, LRCH announces experiences in six theme worlds, including "hyperdynamic chases by car," a magical world of dragons and other fantasy creatures, and an island of giants and beasts. "Futuristic Adventures," "Alien Encounters," and "Thrill Carousels" awaited the world's "The Starport," the "23rd Century Landing Zone."

70 percent should be secret

Every single attraction has three lines, says Gerbeau. "First, innovation - we do not just want to copy what already exists." Secondly, relevance - we know that the consumer of 2024 is not today's and, thirdly, flexibility - we build a park that is easy to develop and adapt can. "

What exactly should attract the guests, you want to keep in advance about 70 percent secret - so at least the idea. The implementation will be done in two steps. 2024 is to open a large part of the park. The expansion is planned for five years later.

"Not only will we create a world-class destination, but also one of the planet's most sustainable theme parks." According to own figures, the responsible persons aim for net zero emissions. So the carbon footprint should be neutral on balance. In what form you want to bind emerging greenhouse gases, has not been communicated.
