The General Feed Corporation announced that its sales since the beginning of this year amounted to about 245 thousand tons of various feed materials, while the production of its factories amounted to about 23 thousand tons.
A report of the corporation, which SANA received a copy of, showed that its sales amounted to 244.8 thousand tons of fodder materials to date and its purchases of fodder raw materials were 530 thousand tons, while the production of the fodder factories in Damascus, Tartous and Homs reached 23 thousand tons until the end of last month.
According to the report, the Corporation received about 331 thousand tons of barley from all governorates for this season, 7800 tons of yellow corn and more than two thousand tons of soybeans from the private sector according to the recommendation of the Economic Committee, which approved that the Foundation will receive 15 percent of the private sector imports of feed materials.
The report stated that the institution has opened 6 feed courses in its branches in the governorates, and has also granted monthly codifications throughout the year for horse breeders and buffalo, and has opened the sale to whomever wishes, confirming the continuation of the establishment to provide feed forage for livestock at encouraging prices and rehabilitating many feed production factories and distribution centers in the governorates.
It is mentioned that the General Manager of the Foundation, Engineer Musab Al-Awad, mentioned in a previous statement to SANA about the existence of a strategic approach to move from providing feed materials as raw materials to providing them as materials manufactured according to the animal type and the type of breeding, especially with the rehabilitation of the Adra fodder plant and the contracting for the rehabilitation of the Tilaf Feed Factory in Reef Aleppo and work to finish the contracting procedures to rehabilitate and develop the feed factory like theirs in Hama.
