A rich sound comes from the powerful engine block of the 3x Bluicer Pro from Sage Appliances . The proud 459.90 euro combination of mixer and juicer (a slightly slimmer version is available for 379.90 euro) comes with 1350 watts in a fat aluminum block. A juicer (or blender) fits on the device base - and both functions can be combined (Bluicer) to make delicious juices and smoothies.

"You won't get such devices broken," says Stefan Beiter from the star restaurant Se7en Oceans in Hamburg, who is testing new kitchen gadgets for manager-magazin.de together with his cook Marc Morgenroth (read episode 1 of our kitchen device test here, episode 2 here). He likes that the collecting container is made of plastic. "I always find glass stupid": because it is heavier and more prone to breakage. Morgenroth puts a few pears in the juicer as a test. In a lavish stream, fine, homogeneous juice pours into the glass under the delivery chute. The cook puts the pomace collected in the rear container into a kitchen towel to test how thoroughly the device has tackled the fruit. Result: The cloth just gets a little damp, so there is hardly any juice left. Exemplary.

The Bluicer also cuts a good figure when it comes to mixing: without hesitation and with no audible effort, it quickly processes avocado, banana, milk and a few berries into a fine, smooth smoothie. No bits, pleasant mouthfeel - everything as it should be. Beiter nods approvingly. "At the price, it is more of a device for professional applications."

Conclusion: Solid device, convincing functions, intuitive operation - high quality, but also expensive.
