The real estate bank’s net profits amounted to about one billion Syrian pounds during the past year, as a result of all its banking activities and operations, especially those resulting from financing various kinds of development loans and others for housing and restoration purposes.
In a statement to a delegate of SANA, the bank’s director general, Dr. Median Ali, confirmed that the lending movement has witnessed “remarkable activity” since the middle of last year, indicating that the bank is following the scheduling and collection operations of non-performing loans in accordance with its operating system and controls and according to Law No. 26 of 2015, noting that there is a “great response Of borrowers defaulting to scheduling, loan settlement and remedy.
"Ali" revealed several difficulties that interfere with the work of money changers and the provision of banking services, including "the significant shortage in the number of employees and competent cadres at the level of management and branches, especially technicians, and the small number of service and armored cars."
With regard to the structure and banking equipment, "Ali" indicated that the bank was able during the past year to supply a set of technical and technological equipment and supplies needed for the continuity of the work of the bank in all its branches, including 100 ATMs currently under installation and operation, and other printers and cash counters.
The real estate manager had stated in a previous statement that each new ATM accommodates about 14 thousand banknotes, an increase equivalent to almost double the old ATMs, while the number of citizens whose salaries at the bank is more than 500 thousand dealers and the value of the monthly salaries delivered by the bank is about 16 billion pounds .
