Data issued by the Russian Central Bank showed that Russia's reserves of gold and foreign currencies in the first ten days of the new year amounted to 557.5 billion dollars.
According to the bank’s data reported by Russia’s website today, “$ 7.7 billion has been added to the country's reserves since the end of 2019, as on December 27, the reserve amounted to $ 549.8 billion.”
The data indicated that the current level of reserves is 10 percent higher than the target level set by the regulatory authority, and is also the highest since October 2008, when the reserves amounted to about $ 547 billion.
