The Supreme Council of Tourism issued two decisions to stimulate investment in the context of continuing government support to the tourism sector, granting more incentives and facilities to investors and improving the legislative environment for that.
The first decision, which SANA received a copy of today, relates to the urban system for projects, complexes, and tourist establishments and the conditions for their establishment in the coast and inside (outside of the organizational plans) and granted through it an increase in the permitted areas in order to achieve the economic feasibility of the project and commensurate with the costs of its construction and gives flexibility in the design and encourages creativity in the architectural formation of the facilities Tourist.
As for the second decision, the council increased the percentage of net commercial stores within the tourist establishments and complexes inside and outside the organizational plans to 30 percent of the total licensed floor areas.
The issuance of the two decisions contributes to encouraging tourism investment in Syria and securing sources of self-financing for tourism projects.
