The halls of the Syrian Trade Corporation continue to be ready to launch a project to implement the distribution of food through the "smart" electronic card at the beginning of next February.
In a press statement during his briefing on the arrangements made in the Syrian galleries for trade in the Mazraa and Mazzeh areas and the Umayyad complex, the Deputy Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection for Central Administration Affairs Engineer Rifaat Suleiman stressed that the distribution of food through the card comes in the framework of government efforts to continue to provide these materials and prevent monopoly and limit the repercussions Forced unilateral economic measures imposed on Syria.
The director of the Syrian Trade Corporation, Ahmed Najem, pointed out in a similar statement to the possibility of expanding the materials distributed via the electronic card according to the demand and the needs of citizens necessary to achieve the principle of positive intervention in the markets and the appropriate balance price indicating that the distribution mechanism is subject to change as needed to ensure stability and control of the market.
In order to prevent the trading of materials sold by the institution between Najm, a special logo will be developed for the materials in addition to the institution’s logo to control the process of fraud, consumption and distribution, stressing that the materials and goods that will be distributed via the electronic card are of good quality and specifications.
The director of the Umayyad Complex Mubarak Al-Luaa explained that the mechanism of distributing goods on the card guarantees citizens access to it (easily, easily and quickly), noting that the experience of the electronic card is an experiment imposed by the repercussions of the economic war, explaining that the prices of materials that will be sold through the card are "cheaper than markets".
The director of the new Mazzeh lounge, Zubaydah Barakat, reported that the device for the electronic card has been circulated to all the Syrian galleries for trade to facilitate the sale of foodstuffs.
SANA monitored the opinions of a number of citizens in the halls, who considered that the application of granting materials via the card is an important step towards controlling markets, preventing fraud and fraud and ensuring fair distribution.
The Council of Ministers recently decided to start distributing subsidized basic materials to citizens through the smart services card in the beginning of next February in the halls of the Syrian Trade Corporation and some special sales centers and via mobile cars.
The materials included in the card include 1 kilogram of sugar per person, provided that the family share does not exceed 4 kilograms and 1 kilogram of rice per person, so that the family share does not exceed 3 kilograms and 200 grams of tea per person, provided that the amount for the family does not exceed 1 kilogram.
