The Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade issued a decision granting incentives for the production and export of citrus season 2019-2020 to citrus growers and exporters registered within the accreditation program of the Local Production and Export Support and Development Authority, so that it will have a price support per kilogram to be exported.

According to the decision that Sana received a copy of, the Ministry indicated that production incentives will be granted to owners of certified and productive citrus farms of 20 pounds per kilogram to be leased from the approved farm and exported in addition to granting export incentives to citrus exporters of 20 pounds per kilogram exported ie 20 thousand Syrian pounds per ton exported.

The decision included a mechanism for the disbursement of the entitlement to support, documents and documents required for those wishing to obtain production and export incentives, and requests to be registered with the Local Production Support and Development Authority will continue until the third of next May.

In a statement to SANA delegate between the Director General of the Local Production and Export Development Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Maida, it is stipulated that the beneficiary of the incentives must be registered in the companies register with the authority and that the exported citrus be rented from the approved farms that meet the requirements of reliability, including sporadic holdings according to the decision of the reliability of citrus farms and centers Sorting and packing by the authority, explaining that the decision contributes to supporting the production and export process.

Meeda pointed out that it is necessary to adhere to the international conditions and standards required for exporting citrus fruits to target countries in terms of packages that meet specifications, method of sorting, packaging, sterilization and refrigeration.
