They want to gather all those who refuse the Linky counter. My Christophe Leguevaques and Arnaud Durand, two lawyers at the Paris bar based in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), launched yesterday in the Pink City "the largest collective action in France" against Enedis, a subsidiary of EDF which installs Linky meters . Thanks to their action platform for citizens on the Internet, MySmartCab, they have collected more than 12,000 consumer signatures against Linky since November.
"We did a survey and estimated that nearly 10,000 of these signatories, from all over France, are ready to go to court against Enedis, so we are launching registrations for this collective procedure until March 31," explains Christophe Leguevaques. The idea is to defend thousands of people and bring the contradiction on an equal footing with Enedis, who has aggressive methods. "
A subscription of 8.20 euros per month
Lawyers focus their arguments on the collection of personal data, the influence of airwaves on health and the fire risk. The cases concerning Linky have multiplied with summary trials in Toulouse, Bordeaux, Tours, Foix and even Grenoble.
"Union is strength and, with this procedure, we want to ask to respect the consumer's refusal and, if necessary, to remove a Linky already installed, but also compensation for moral damage up to 5000 euros per applicant", assures the lawyer. To participate, a subscription of 8.20 euros per month is offered. The procedure should be launched in May or June and then last 24 months.
