Air Canada announced Tuesday the extension of the suspension of its flights between Canada and the cities of Beijing and Shanghai until April 10, due to the epidemic of new coronavirus in China.
Flights to these cities were temporarily suspended on January 30 until the end of February after the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs advised Canadians not to "make non-essential trips to China" given the rapid spread of the virus.

Air Canada states on its website that it "will continue to closely monitor this constantly evolving situation", in consultation with Canadian authorities, and that it "will modify its schedule accordingly".
The company provides direct flights to Beijing and Shanghai from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Air Canada has also extended the suspension of its daily non-stop flights between Toronto and Hong Kong until April 30, 2020, due to declining market demand.
