The president of the region Valérie Pécresse denounces a “dependent” analysis.

A report from the regional chamber of accounts pinpoints the management of the Ile-de-France region between 2014 and 2018, its president Valérie Pécresse (Free!) Denouncing a " dependent " analysis, while the left opposition points to " l 'budgetary insincerity ' of his mandate. In a document which will be examined in the session of the regional council on Thursday, the Regional Chamber of Accounts points to " persistent weaknesses " in the budgetary and financial accounts, a " lack of reliability of the budgetary forecasts ", with a " rate of expenditure execution investment (which) deteriorated sharply in 2016 and 2018 ”.

The chamber notes " persistent irregularities in terms of human resources ", or a payroll which " has not decreased " despite " the decline in staff ", but also highlights " an improving financial situation ", with " controlled debt "and" improved debt reduction capacity ". In her written response, Valérie Pécresse deplores that the tone of the report is " that of a charge report " and " completely out of step with the assessment (of) rating agencies " and " the Court of Accounts itself " , who in September stressed that the IDF region had lowered its operating expenses since 2015 and controlled its payroll.

In another written response, the director general of services for the region also deplored " a methodology that does not sufficiently highlight the differences in management of the old (PS, editor's note) and the new mandate " and many " errors factual ”. Above all, he and Valérie Pécresse underline the “ partiality ” of the report, due to a “ conflict of interest of one of the magistrates of the regional chamber who deliberated on the provisional observation report ” and who is “ a member active of LREM in Ile-de-France ”and political opponent of a regional elected representative.

For the left opposition, gathered Friday in a press conference, the report " acts the mismanagement " of the region, " governed erratically ", according to Maxime des Gayets (IDF Group, PS). " Investments have been reduced like a skin of sorrow, " denounced Céline Malaisé (Left Front), citing a lack of " 1.2 billion euros " between the credits voted and the credits executed since the start of the mandate. This report reveals an " overwhelming record ", says Eddie Aït (RCDEC, elected environmentalists and centrists), who denounces " a make-up of Valérie Pécresse on her budgetary choices ". Ghislaine Senée (Alternative ecologist and social) castigates her " a short-term and opportunistic vision " of the president of the region.
