The union " calls on employees to resume the strike movement suspended on February 3 " in " a strike notice from the CGT for March 12 at Radio France " in order to urge management to renounce the plan providing for more than 250 suppressions of posts.

Radio France was affected by the strike launched by the CGT for 63 days, a duration unprecedented in the history of the audiovisual industry in France. She had been suspended until early March.

If the other unions of the public group had called punctually for work stoppages since the beginning of the movement, the CGT is the only organization which had launched an notice of unlimited duration.

At the end of January, the president of the public group, Sibyle Veil, had agreed to implement a job-loss plan via a procedure called RCC (collective agreement termination), rather than via a voluntary departure plan (PDV), thus responding at the request of several unions in the round house, with the notable exception of the CGT.

After almost 2 months of negotiations to replace the POS with an RCC, the management of Radio France is maintaining its plan to cut jobs. The objective of 261 job cuts, which has not changed since the start of these negotiations, is unacceptable, "said the CGT in a statement.
