A major surprise at EssilorLuxottica, when a governance crisis has been shaking the world leader in optics for eighteen months, born from the merger between the Italian Luxottica and the French Essilor. Nine months after being entrusted with key responsibilities on the board of directors of EssilorLuxottica, Laurent Vacherot, the managing director of Essilor International, is preparing to leave his functions at the head of the French giant of corrective lenses.

According to our information, he warned Thursday evening Hubert Sagnières, president of Essilor International and co-CEO of EssilorLuxottica, of his intention to assert his retirement rights.
