The government also wishes to increase the number of beds in intensive care to " 14 to 14,500 ", against 5000 initially, to cope with the influx of patients caused by the epidemic of Covid-19, said the minister.
“ France's initial capacities were 5,000 resuscitation beds. They have been increased (...) to 10,000 beds. Now we want to reach a target of 14,000 to 14,500 resuscitation beds nationwide, "said the minister at a press conference.
