Coronavirus: France has ordered more than a billion masks

The Minister of Health Olivier Véran announced on Saturday March 28 that France had ordered more than a billion masks for the country's health personnel. These orders have been placed all over the world, particularly in China. Deliveries will be staggered over the next few weeks and months, said the minister.

The government also wishes to increase the number of beds in intensive care to " 14 to 14,500 ", against 5000 initially, to cope with the influx of patients caused by the epidemic of Covid-19, said the minister.

France's initial capacities were 5,000 resuscitation beds. They have been increased (...) to 10,000 beds. Now we want to reach a target of 14,000 to 14,500 resuscitation beds nationwide, "said the minister at a press conference.
