Coronavirus: more than 50 billion euros in state guaranteed loans granted

More than 50 billion euros in loans guaranteed by the state were granted to more than 322,000 companies between March 25 and this Thursday, announced the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Bercy also provides a more precise dashboard established on the basis of data provided by the French Banking Federation (FFB), the Banque de France and Bpifrance.

According to this table, between March 25 and April 23, 43.2 billion euros in state guaranteed loans (PGE) were granted by banks to 281,272 companies, 90% of which are very small companies (TPE) .

The refusal rate concerned 2.4% of eligible requests.

The main activity sectors concerned by the EMPs over the period are vehicle repair (13.3 billion in outstanding loans), manufacturing industry (6.2 billion), scientific and technical activities (4.1 billion ) and accommodation and catering (4 billion).

This device allows companies of any size, whatever their legal form, to apply to their usual bank for a loan guaranteed by the State to support their cash, affirms Bercy in its press release.
