In the case of seasonal workers mobilized during the state of health emergency, the aid, amounting to 150 euros monthly, may be renewed

The Ministry of Agriculture announced Tuesday a boost for seasonal workers "mobilized during the health crisis" and employees in the agricultural sector "faced with a loss of income due to the crisis" of Covid-19. To the seasonal workers concerned, the Action Logement group, a specialist in social housing, will pay aid of 150 euros renewable three times (for a total of 600 euros maximum, therefore).

Action Logement, which collects each year a participation of agricultural companies in the construction effort, announces to mobilize "an envelope of 6 million euros for this device supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food", according to a joint press release.

The people eligible for this aid are "employees of companies in the agricultural sector regardless of seniority, duration and nature of their employment contract, exercising a seasonal activity", provided that their accommodation has been subject to '' signature of a lease or occupancy agreement, and the seasonal activity took place during the state of health emergency. "The application system will be open on June 30," says Action Logement.

100 million euros for workers in difficulty

In addition, the joint body extended to employees covered by the agricultural social protection scheme the benefit of exceptional aid for the payment of rent or the repayment of the mortgage, announced on June 11.

This aid for employees facing a drop in income due to the Covid-19 concerns those whose resources are less than 1.5 times the minimum wage and who have lost at least 15% of their income due to the crisis. Its amount is 150 euros monthly, for a maximum duration of two months (300 euros in total). It must mobilize an envelope of 100 million euros.

“During this health crisis, the daily work and the commitment of the employees of the agricultural world made it possible to keep our food chain in all the territories. It was normal, that with Action Logement, we could support access to accommodation to promote the employment of its employees, "reacts in the press release the Minister of Agriculture Didier Guillaume.
