Although the payment schedule for the second batch of the Emergency Family Income (IFE) has already ended, some 90,000 people remained who are still collecting the $ 10,000 bonus. These are those beneficiaries who did not open a bank account on time and therefore could not enter the uniform bank account number (CBU) on the Anses page to receive the payment.
According to the agency's data, 99% of the almost 9 million IFE beneficiaries have already collected the second batch . In all cases they did it through a bank transfer.
For the second phase of the IFE Anses established that all payments would be made through the banking system . In the first phase, there were 3 million people who did not have an account and who received cash through the Correo Argentino or specific payment points of the Provincia bank or the Link network.
To "make the payments" transparent, Anses sought that those who were outside the system open a bank account for free . This step has been accomplished over the last few weeks and has allowed the vast majority of beneficiaries to charge in this way.
However, there was a batch of "laggards" who did not go bank. There are an estimated 90,000 people in that situation. Anses will communicate with these beneficiaries through a text message to inform them in which bank branch they will charge and when.
As they did not open the account in a timely manner, Anses will assign them the closest bank branch to their address where they must appear to complete the process of opening the savings bank and collecting the $ 10,000 bonus. This week Anses already started sending these messages.
Meanwhile, the agency is finalizing the details of what will be the third round of the IFE that will begin to be paid in August. Like the previous ones, it will cover 9 million people across the country.
There will be no new enrollment phase to receive this benefit. Those who have already collected the two previous rounds will be able to access this payment, which was designed by the Government to help people in the most vulnerable sectors face the effects of the extended quarantine.
As reported by Chief of Staff Santiago Cafiero, the third payment of the IFE will be the last. For after August, the Government is designing a social aid plan that includes the creation of 300,000 jobs , urbanization of popular neighborhoods and the implementation of a basic income system . The intention is that this income reaches the unemployed and the most neglected families, so it would reach some 3 million people. The amount to be collected or how it will be financed has not yet been defined.
