In line with the new business owners who opened in 2020, when they too will be able to win grants from the state in the amount of NIS 3,000-4,000 starting today, as part of the new grant scheme for businesses participating in fixed expenses that opened yesterday.

So far, the grants for the self-employed starting in May have only been given to those whose business was active in 2019 and on the basis of declining revenues compared to last year. Starting today (Wednesday), you can receive a grant for businesses that opened in January-February 2020. These businesses will be able to receive an expense grant in the fixed amount of NIS 3,000 (for an exempt dealer) and NIS 4,000 (for an authorized dealer).

Applications for the grant opened today are for the months of May-June 2020, the first months of operation after the closure, with the grant being paid from now every two months until May-June 2021.

The application by the self-employed will be made as part of the small business expense grant system, which opened last week. Companies, partners in a partnership or union of dealers, which began operating in January and February 2020, will be able to apply for a grant of NIS 4,000 as part of the new grant system for businesses to participate in fixed expenses that opened yesterday.

Eligible for this grant are self-employed people whose turnover in January-February exceeds NIS 1,500 and the turnover in the eligibility period (May-June 2020) is lower than the turnover in January-February 2020.

This morning, text messages were sent to about 24,000 self-employed people, who opened VAT files up to 29.2.2020, informing them of the possibility to apply for a grant for the months of May-June 2020, and it will be possible until 16.11.2020.
