The General Company for Chemical Industries and Paints "Umayya" announced a reduction in the prices of its main products by up to 10 percent from the first until the 15th of this month.
The general manager of the company, Mazen Al-Boutros, said in a statement to the representative of SANA that these reductions come within the framework of the company's positive intervention in the local market by providing the company's main products of plastic and oil paints at reduced prices while preserving the quality and specifications conforming to the Syrian standard specifications.
On the company's production, Al-Boutros explained that the company produced during the first eight months of this year a value of 2.7 billion pounds, with a rate of implementation of the production plan reaching 132 percent, achieving a rate of development over the same period last year by about 240 percent.
He pointed out that the company continues to market its products through its approved agents and public and private sector entities, indicating that the value of sales achieved since the beginning of this year until last month amounted to 2.5 billion pounds, with an implementation rate of 125 percent, and a growth rate of 253 percent over the same period last year.
Al-Boutros explained that the reason for the increase in the sales value is due to the clearly high demand for the company's products in recent months as a result of the great competitiveness of the company's products with high specifications, high quality and low prices compared to their counterparts in the local market, at a rate of more than 40 percent.
The company produces about 60 varieties of oil, industrial and plastic paints, with its exclusivity in the production of marine paints, road paints and antibacterial paints, and it is able to develop thermal insulation paints and epoxy paints for floors.
