There are now 406 objections against the factory of the US car manufacturer Tesla in Grünheide near Berlin.
The Ministry of the Environment in Potsdam announced that they will be debated at the hearing on September 23.
Tesla plans to build 500,000 electric cars per year at the plant from next summer.
After the first interpretation of the project documents in the spring, 33 new objections were added.
The deadline by which the documents were displayed ended on September 3.
The discussion is to take place in the town hall in Erkner.
The appointment gives critics the opportunity to talk to the licensing authority and the applicant.
This is provided for by the provisions of the Federal Immission Control Act and the ordinance on the approval process.
Citizens, initiatives and others can explain their motives and direct questions to the licensing authority, representatives of the authorities involved and the applicant.
No decision on approval or individual objections will be made during the appointment.
Only then are the requirements for approval and the objections checked.
In order to minimize the risk of infection, there are only a limited number of places available in the town hall.
Only objectors can participate.
Mask requirements and a required minimum distance of 1.5 meters apply.
