French cybersecurity settles in La Défense

INFO LE FIGARO - The objective is to bring together the elite of French expertise in the field in one place.


The French Cyber ​​Campus will take up residence in La Défense, more precisely in the 26,000 square meters of the Eria building.

Inspired by the Israeli CyberSpark, this place aims to bring together in one place the cream of French expertise in cybersecurity, whether it comes from the private and public sectors.

Around a thousand people from private groups like Thales, Atos, Orange, Capgemini, state agencies like Anssi, from the world of research, start-ups, training centers will set up there from month of September 2021. Objective: to work on common projects a French ecosystem of cybersecurity still too fragmented.

It is a question of both being stronger by working together in the face of growing threats and ensuring a better international influence of the French know-how in this area.

The building will itself be a showcase for the best French technologies as soon as you enter the building.

Encourage vocations

"We want to be able to show all the positive side of cybersecurity, too often reduced to its anxiety-provoking nature",

insists Michel Van Den Berghe, CEO of Orange Cyberdéfense and architect of this project.

It is also a question of arousing vocations in a sector in high demand.

In a second step, another site of equivalent size will open on the Satory plateau in Versailles, to be able to work on more space-intensive projects such as the security of connected vehicles, drones or assembly lines.

The State has made cybersecurity a priority axis of the digital aspect of its recovery plan.

A cybersecurity plan with strong financial commitments must be presented by Emmanuel Macron by the end of October.
