To resolve this equation, Suez's board of directors decided on Wednesday to place the Water France activity under the protection of a foundation for four years.
“A foundation, administered by a majority of representatives or former representatives of the Suez social body, has, since that day, the mission of preserving, in the social interest of Suez, the integrity of the Water France activity at within the Suez group
, explains the board of directors in a press release released Wednesday evening.
For the next four years and unless the Board of Directors of Suez decides otherwise during this period, Suez Eau France, like its assets, will be inalienable in the absence of the prior agreement of its shareholders under certain conditions, including that of the foundation."
This decision makes it more difficult for Veolia to realize its dream of seizing Suez.
