Construction, media and telecoms giant Bouygues announced on Tuesday its intention to sell 4.8% of Alstom's capital, via a transaction worth around 480 million euros at the end of which it will not hold more than 9.7% of the French railway manufacturer.

This operation will be completed on November 3, and by then Bouygues "will
retain full ownership of its 32.9 million shares
", or 14.5% of Alstom, which will allow it to "
vote in favor of proposed acquisition of Bombardier Transport at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled for October 29,
