Prime Minister Hussein Arnous met with the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Homs Chamber of Industry.

The meeting dealt with the importance of continuous integration and coordination between government agencies and economic actors from the private sector in order to overcome obstacles to re-rotating the economic wheel and revitalizing production in the governorate by securing all that is necessary and providing facilities to return industrial and craft establishments affected by terrorism to work and production.

Engineer Arnous stressed the need to mobilize all potential energies in all fields and the importance of cooperation between all sectors, including federations of chambers, trade unions and organizations, and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors to secure the basic requirements of our people under the conditions of economic siege and unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria.

The Prime Minister renewed the government's readiness to take decisions and provide the necessary support to the private sector in its projects of public benefit and contribute to reducing the import bill and replacing its alternatives.

During the meeting, the emphasis was placed on the social responsibility entrusted to the business sector and the awareness role that it can contribute in the context of managing the crises facing Syria due to terrorism and unfair economic sanctions.

The head and members of the Homs Chamber of Industry pointed to the need to accelerate the investment of craft and industrial areas in the governorate, restore construction, attract national immigrant capital, remove pollution from the waters of the Asi River, and issue legislation that guarantees environmental safety, combating pollution and expanding the use of renewable energy stations.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Industry and the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

In a statement to reporters after the meeting between the head of the Homs Chamber of Industry, Muhammad Labib Brothers, the meeting dealt with how to advance the economic and social aspect in the governorate of Homs and the important role that the chambers of federations, industrialists and owners of economic establishments must play in light of these circumstances in terms of social responsibility, work and production based on complementarity Roles.

Ikhwan pointed out that the issue of reinvesting industrial and craft areas that were not invested due to the war was raised, in addition to requiring large industrial establishments and petrol stations to fire engines.
