The address is one of the filming locations for the hit Netflix series created by Darren Star, "
Emily in Paris
."

Released on October 2 on the streaming platform, the American production tells the story of Emily, a young woman living in Chicago, suddenly transferred to Paris.
In the first episode, she meets Gabriel - played by French actor Lucas Bravo -, her neighbor and chef of the French restaurant renamed "
Les deux compères
" for the occasion.
“
The two accomplices
” are, in reality, Valerio and Yohann, owners of the restaurant with the red benches, for 42 years.
“
Originally, it was a former butcher's shop from the 1920s
,” says Valerio in an Italian accent.
The “
Emily in Paris
”
adventure
begins in July 2019, when the production contacts the two partners to submit their project.
The restaurant is a key location in the series.
“
They chose it before the building where Emily's character lives, located on the same square,
” says Valerio.
Filming began "at the
end of August 2019 and lasted two months
", with no less than 150 people on site.

We're only starting to see the fallout this week,
" Yohann explains, amused by the fans dancing outside his restaurant.
The two professionals hope that this popularity will be able to compensate for the losses linked to the health crisis.
“
As with the entire sector, the pandemic has affected our business.
We lost three months between March and June.
We are now at a loss of 30% of turnover compared to last year
, ”deplores Valerio.

", a dish tribute to the series
The series will also be an opportunity to attract a new, younger clientele.
“
We have a base of regulars who work in the neighborhood, including political figures from the Senate,
” says Valerio.

Chance wanted that another of our regulars, Daniel Bravo - former football player - is the father of the actor in the series, Lucas Bravo
", he smiles.

Antipastis, pasta, Sicilian fish, and Milanese schnitzel… the menu at the “
Terra Nera
” is, unlike fiction, 100% Italian.

This Monday, a new dish tribute to the series will make its debut on the menu: the “
Tagliata di manzo Emily
”, a sliced beef tenderloin, accompanied by arugula, parmesan shavings and Modena vinegar sauce.
It will include the “Emily menu”, made up of a burrata from Puglia, Sicilian cherry tomatoes for the starter and homemade tiramisu accompanied by a Neapolitan Borbone coffee for dessert.
And as a nod to the United States, an Americano will be served as an aperitif.
