Ten years after the Origine France Garantie “made in France” label, the services, in turn, will be able to be labeled.
The announcement was made by Pro France, the association which supports
"voluntary, innovative and transparent certification"
to
"defend and promote the France brand in all sectors of activity."
Yves Jégo, its founding president and former secretary of state, welcomes an initiative which should benefit both the competitiveness of national companies and the aspirations of consumers for reliable information.
The new Service France Garanti certification fills a void: until now, the origin of a service has not been framed by any device, so that Pro France points to
“various markings which are sometimes misleading”
.
The association wants to remedy this by requiring in particular that 90% of employees be subject to an employment contract under French law.
It has already targeted the activities eligible for this label: it can be a service that corresponds to the core business of the company, customer service or even after-sales service.
However, for the moment, the catering and physical distribution sectors are excluded from the scope.
All interested companies - around ten have already started the procedure - must complete a file then evaluated by the certification bodies (Bureau Veritas and Afnor).
An on-site verification audit follows, before a certificate valid for four years is granted - under the guise of an “annual documentary audit”.
We will quickly see what enthusiasm arouses this new label.
