Ziv Kelai, a business and management consultant, says: "This period comes to stimulate people to personal development and workers who oppose the change will have a hard time coping. The situation requires a change of thinking on the part of the employee looking for work and flexibility in entering the new place. "And the job insecurity in which they find themselves. Employers who show sensitivity and reassure employees will, in the long run, acquire employees who will not leave them when the corona runs out."

Noa Duani Frishberg, Professional Services and Elad Systems Sales Manager

Noa Duani Frishberg

"Before I came to Elad, I worked as a computer artist as an Account Manager. I was there for 8.5 years and I was taken out like many other employees to the IDF last March.

I started looking for a job 3 months later when my managers informed me in June that my return date was unclear.

In light of this, I told them I was starting to look for a job elsewhere and they cheered and supported and helped me a lot.

I found a job after a month, my first interview was at Elad Systems. "

What was the feeling when you left?

" I was very hurt.

I felt disappointed.

I came from a place where I had 200% confidence and found myself outside one bright day.

A place where I was 8.5 years old, I met my goals every year, I was very successful and I was very disappointed that the company chose me from among the many people it took out for Khalat.

Has your salary been upgraded or lowered?

"My salary has been upgraded, but not by much."

Is what you are doing now what you thought at the end of 2019 you would do?

"No, not exactly. Although I work in a field very similar to the past, but today I build a client portfolio from scratch. It is a fascinating and very challenging process. I set up a new unit in the company alongside very professional people. The job gives me a lot of interest and meaning. The employee is very pleasant, I feel wrapped up in training activities and a fun experience that is very important, especially in these days of Corona. "

Is this the preferred direction for your career?

"Yes. I had a good opportunity to make a change and reach a unit that is more technological and professional. My responsibilities are bigger today."

Feeling job security, or still apprehensive?

"No. The damage Corona did to people who did not anticipate the termination of employment and did not know about it in advance caused the soul to be shaken and it will not pass soon. I feel that from now on I will not take the job for granted and always think everything can change in an instant. It has the potential to grow. "

Guy Kugelman, 30, pricing analyst and responsible for tenders and agreements from Detronic Israel

"I am a lawyer by training and before joining Medtronic I worked for about a year and a half in a law firm.

After completing my internship in commercial law, high-tech and M&A, I managed to fly to Thailand and return to job search in mid-January 2020. I made the decision to calculate a route and move to the client's side in August 2019, when we did not know what closure and masks were.

After 4 months of sorting for different positions, I started the sorting process for Matdronic, all through the zoom and phone calls.

With changing instructions in the background and a lot of uncertainty, at one point I was sure it would be another moment and it would stop but to my delight the screenings continued, I was accepted, and started working at 10.5.

"When I decided to look for a job I knew it was a risk, but it turned out to be bigger than I thought. There were moments when I asked myself if it was right to leave a place I was good at and enjoyed professionally and personally, and fears I would not find a job during this time. "Working at the same time, the pressure was definitely felt. But things work out in the end and I'm very happy with how they worked out."

Has your salary been upgraded or lowered?

"My salary would remain the same if I had chosen to work as a novice lawyer."

Is what you are doing now what you thought at the end of 2019 you would do?

"I finished 2019 in Thailand and a lot has changed since then. But definitely to fit into a challenging and interesting role, in a leading company with significant work, especially at a time when medical technology is so required - is a good place to be."

Is this the preferred direction for your career?

"Yes. I have only been in the company for 5 months, and although I can count on one hand the number of times I have been to the office, this is the direction and place where I want to develop."

Feel that you have job security or are still worried?

"In general, there is a lot of uncertainty around that affects me as well, and personally, I was given the opportunity to join the team during maternity leave and I hope I can prove myself and be able to continue in society."

Ariela Dahari - a telephone service representative at Bezeq Online, which operates in the call center market in Israel.

Ariella Dahari

"Before the Corona, I worked independently in the field of design and home styling. The Corona led to the departure of customers and the cancellation of projects planned before Pesach, and with them a decrease in revenue, which forced me to go to Khalat.

After about three months, I found a job as an employee at the Ministry of Health's hotline at Bezeq Online as a telephone service representative. "

What was the feeling?

" Disabling me caused hard feelings, physically, financially and professionally.

The feeling was that everything was collapsing for me.

I fell ill with all the diseases there were, which made me very dysfunctional at home, and also as a mother and wife.

After the first closure I was sure I was on the horse back, but it turns out I was wrong ... the economy did not really recover, and customers who wanted to return were full of concerns, deals were not closed.

My daughter, who worked as a waitress, had to leave a rented apartment in the first closure and return home, as she was expelled to the Knesset. About a week later she was hired at Bezeq Online, when I heard the calls and the energy it really made me want to do. Mine was still in my head. "

Has your salary been upgraded or lowered?

"My salary was significantly reduced, but after three months I had no income at all the first salary was breathable, and the amounts I earned as an 'exempt dealer' were not huge, especially in the last months before the corona. I had to use the money I budgeted for advertising for current income. So despite the significant drop in wages, I feel a kind of peace and security of a steady income. "

Did you think in 2019 that you would do what you do now?

"Unequivocally no. I had dreams of continuing to develop in my occupation and take off with my projects."

And what next?

"It's still too early for me to determine that this is the preferred direction, but I have made a change in thinking. I am currently focusing on it as my only career. I guess I will do more thinking when a vaccine for the virus is found and the economy recovers, which seems like an eternity right now."

And what about job security?

"Feeling occupationally safe right now and it's a completely different feeling. Not sure I could explain to anyone what I experienced at first, the magnitude of the mental and physical crash, so that anyone who knows what I went through (mostly my immediate family) can understand why I feel so good now."

Chen Kraus Albo, 43, project manager at Mekorot, an outsourcing company of the Taldor Group, one of the leading players in the IT market in Israel

Chen Kraus Elbo

For the past decade, I have been managing projects and analyzing WEB systems and a partner in the Hevel Hatzalah organization, which helps parents in separation and divorce situations. Before Corona, I managed the Tel Aviv branch of Piont Technologies, which was acquired last January by Malam Systems.

In March, with the outbreak of the corona, the company was forced to expedite unification processes within the company, and I and a few other colleagues went out to the Knesset.

What was the feeling of leaving in these circumstances?

"The two hundred percent one-time transition to staying home with my daughters In feelings of confusion and uncertainty.

It took me a while to sober up and realize it could take a long time before I could go back, if at all.

On the other hand, I gained quality time with my daughters and even managed to implement ‘projects’ that were rejected at home.

Happily, I did not feel financially distressed thanks to the Khalal money and grants, and the significant decrease in the amount of expenses due to the closure. At the same time the company continues to operate without me, so at some point I decided to move on and go on a job search. "On the other hand, an environment with less demand and vacancies. In July, about four months after the outbreak of the corona, I was approached by Taldor, with a proposal to submit my candidacy for a tender to manage the digital environment project in their sources."

Has your salary been upgraded or lowered?

"To my great joy I upgraded my terms of employment and did not have to compromise on anything."

Did you think at the end of 2019 that this was what you would do this year?

"I did not expect my parting from the previous company, which my occupation was very challenging and satisfying and included managing the Netanya Municipality website project as part of their super project 'Smart City', but I feel it is a suitable and right opportunity for me for this period, hope to succeed in the job."

Is this the preferred direction for your career?

"In the last decade I have been managing projects with large institutional companies and helping them set up websites, digital products and knowledge management. Working in a company like Mekorot can contribute a lot to my work experience and professional challenge."

Feel that you have more job security?

"The job search process, even in normal times, brings a lot of failures and situations of despair, easy and material during the Corona period. The accompaniment and cover I received from the management team of the Taldor Group, even during the job selections, gave me a sense of security. And acquaintance with a very large organization, working from home with my 3 children, but the level of concern has definitely dropped. "
