This Thursday, President Alberto Fernández and the head of the ANSeS, Fernanda Raverta will announce the incorporation of more than
720,000 girls, boys and adolescents
as beneficiaries of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH).
In addition, there are already another
300,000 boys and girls
identified
who will be included shortly.
According to ANSeS, through various actions that were deployed, it
was possible to identify this group of boys
and girls who were not covered by either the AUH or the family allowances regime, and / or were not registered in the National Registry of Persons (RENAPER).
In those cases, once identification was facilitated, the DNI was issued, "guaranteeing the right to identity."
Currently the AUH has a benefit of
$ 3,540 per person under 18 years of age, an
amount that is adjusted every three months with pension mobility.
Of the total amount,
80% is charged monthly and the remaining 20% annually
with the presentation of the Universal Assignment Book, which includes the health and education certificate.
In the case of children with disabilities, the monthly allowance is
$ 11,535.
In addition, an annual school aid of
$ 2,966
is paid
.
In the provinces of La Pampa, Chubut, Neuquén, Río Negro, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands and the Patagones Party, province of Buenos Aires, the AUH is $ 4,602 per month, and for boys with a disability of $ 14,996.
It is discounted that the parents of these children will begin to receive the Allowance from November.
Official data indicate that there is a total of
4,282,302 - a record number
- children under 18 years of age whose parents - 2.2 million - collect the AUH because they are unemployed, social monotax workers or work in the informal labor market or in domestic service tasks and are not registered in their jobs.
That yields an average of 2 boys per family.
Meanwhile, a total of 4,229,256 children of parents who collect the Family Allowance per child (between $ 741 and $ 3,540, depending on family income) because they are formal workers or monotributistas with family income less than $ 155,328 or less $ 77,664 per member .
Those who have higher family income and are reached by Earnings, can deduct a sum from the taxable base of the tax.
Of the almost 4.3 million boys who receive the AUH, 2,104,513 are women and 2,177,789 men.
More than half - 57% - are under 8 years of age.
And more than 60% of parents are under 34 years old.
In the 2021 Budget project, it is estimated that
a total of 4,330,225 boys
and adolescents will be
paid this year by the AUH
and 4,363,205 next year.
Both figures are surpassed with the incorporation of this million new beneficiaries.
Based on INDEC measurements, the CIPPEC (Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth) reported that over 14 million children and adolescents under 17 years of age, with the pandemic, in the second quarter of this year, indigence reached 22.5% (3.2 million), while poverty climbed to 66.3% (9.3 million).
State aid (such as AUH, IFE, food card) managed to reduce indigence but had almost no effect on poor households with children under 17 years of age, due to the low level of such aid in relation to the cost of the basic family basket.
