On October 8, the Ministry of Tourism launched the Previaje 2021 program, the system that allows to present the expenses made for the season and obtain a reimbursement of 50% of what was spent to use in more tourist services within the country.
The deadline to buy packages for this summer expired on October 31, but at the request of the agencies, the Ministry of Tourism announced this Thursday that the deadline will
be extended until November 15
.
More than 20 days after it was presented, the program has more than 12 thousand providers registered throughout the country and 60,000 tourists bought packages, tickets, hotel stays, excursions, etc., to travel next year.
This represents an expense of about $ 800 million according to the data they handle in the Ministry of Tourism.
Travel agencies had been stating that -since the program was presented- there was a strong increase in the number of inquiries from people interested in traveling, but that they did not end up being transformed into purchases,
The reasons have to do with the lack of definitions of some fundamental measures by national and provincial governments, such as the measures that will be required to enter each province, the health protocols that will be applied on beaches and other summoning summer destinations. , and especially the uncertainty regarding commercial flights.

presented a request for an extension to the ministry in charge of Matías Lammens to extend the terms of sale of tourist services and to be able to market, thus,
