Euro zone: negative inflation in October for the third consecutive month

Inflation stood at -0.3% this month, stable compared to September. In August, it had plunged below zero for the first time since May 2016


Inflation in the euro area remained negative in October for the third month in a row, the European Statistics Office announced on Friday.

In October, inflation rose to -0.3%, stable compared to September, according to a first estimate by Eurostat.

In August, this indicator had plunged below zero for the first time since May 2016, to -0.2%.
