The same day, Engie EPS (the technological branch of the energy company) signed a memorandum of understanding with the manufacturer Fiat Chrysler to invest in the recharging market.

While EVBox, manufacturer of terminals and subsidiary of Engie, has unveiled a four-year contract with truck manufacturer Scania to develop a European charging network for its last mile delivery vehicles.

The electric recharging market is one of the new areas of confrontation between the major French energy companies Engie, Total and EDF.

For Total, the aim is to ensure an outlet for its growing production of green electricity and to anticipate the marginalization of service stations in the charging of electric vehicles.
