Gold prices fell to their lowest level in a week today, after encouraging developments regarding Corona vaccines boosted hopes for a faster recovery of the global economy.
Reuters reported that gold prices decreased in spot transactions by 0,4 percent to 1,863.12 dollars an ounce, while US futures fell 0.6 percent to 1862,30 dollars.
As for the other precious metals, silver fell 1 percent to $ 24.08 an ounce, platinum 0.6 percent to $ 936.54, and palladium 0.4 percent to $ 2319.10 an ounce.
