By announcing on Monday a vast reorganization of Danone, with 1,500 to 2,000 job cuts in its world headquarters, its CEO, Emmanuel Faber, clearly shows it: the priority is change at the dairy giant, facing a health crisis which does not spare mass consumption groups.
Shaken on its water and infant nutrition divisions by the changes in consumption linked to Covid, Danone claims to have learned the lessons.

The group plans to save 1 billion euros by 2023, 70% of which through a decentralized organization.
This results in the largest downsizing program in the group.
