Five federations of stores and shopping centers have asked the government to "
take into account economic imperatives in the organization of demonstrations
", by excluding "
during this Christmas period
" businesses from authorized routes, to "
create less attraction for the thugs
”, according to a statement Tuesday.

The Confederation of Merchants of France (CDF), the French Federation of Merchant Associations (FFAC), the National Federation of Town Centers "
Vitrines de France
" (FNCV), the National Council of Shopping Centers (CNCC) and the Merchants and artisans from the metropolitan areas of France (CAMF) are asking for the establishment of “
ad hoc protected commercial zones
” on an ad hoc basis “
during this Christmas period
”.
The objective of this request "
for the attention of the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, and the prefects
", is to guarantee "
the preservation of our activities, the serenity of our customers and employees and vis (e) to arouse less attraction for thugs
”.
