Netanyahu: "In such dramatic days, we should not go to the polls" (Photo: GPO)

A few days ago I woke up in the morning.

Everything looks normal.

I went for a morning run, ate breakfast, sat in front of the computer, opened my browser, read the morning news.

Suddenly my eyes darkened.

Suddenly, a headline on one of the sites shouted that it was temporary.

I went into shock, checked my pulse, felt my bones.

Everything seems fine.

But still, the headline in front of me shouted: "The finance minister said all the stressors were out of date."

I started thinking about what I was doing with the work.

Should I call the dean and let him know that there is no point in me studying today?

After all, if the minister said, who am I to argue.

But before I announce my resignation, I decided that it might be worthwhile to re-examine why the minister made me irrelevant.

I plucked up courage, and read the whole article.

I found out that what upset the minister, is a review article (written with great talent, by the way) by Nehemiah Stresler.

Instead of attacking the claims made by Nehemiah Stresler, the minister chose to announce that all the Straslers had passed their time.

Thus, because Nehemiah Stresler criticized him, the finance minister made me irrelevant, just because I was born Stresler too.

Along with me, he has become quite a few more irrelevant people.

I'm not sure how many stressors there are in Israel, but I think there are at least a few dozen.

I have no idea what my family connection is to most of them (nor do I have any connection to Nehemiah Stresler), but in the Minister's opinion, probably the last name is enough.

I wonder if he would have said something similar if the commentator's name was Mizrahi, or Cohen.

Have you looked at the black market?

I do not like to tell the Minister of Finance, but black capital, and waste of money do not lead to an immediate downgrade, but they are still a significant problem, and someone will have to pay for it

I also found out that the minister has a claim that proves that all the stressors have expired.

According to him, it was the time of the "stressors" because they were wrong when they claimed that the rating companies would lower the rating to the Israeli government.

So to the attention of the Minister of Finance: On July 29, I published an article in which I claimed that from a macro point of view, there is no reason to downgrade Israel.

The only reason why the rating may drop, is the dysfunction of the government.

Happily, the rating agencies have decided that a government that has not passed a budget for almost three years is not a reason to downgrade.

I do not think the Minister should throw the blame on me for what other stressors wrote just because we were born with the same last name.

More than that, the minister argues that not downgrading is a confirmation that the government's policy is correct.

Although my past is temporary, I'm still not entirely sure he's right.

First of all because of the "safety net" he gave to the workers.

Yesterday I talked to a student who explained to me that he only works because he is a sucker.

When he was unemployed, he earned 20% more.

I don’t think there are a lot of suckers like that, and that means the state is spending a lot of money that could have been very helpful to those who really need it.

Who will also check what is happening with black capital.

For years, every finance minister who took office promised that he would be the one to reduce the black market.

But in the time of the current finance minister, the black market is rising and flourishing.

I know this because I look at the amount of cash in the economy.

Between January and August, the amount of cash in the economy increased by almost 14 percent.

What reason do people have to hold so much cash at a time when economic activity in the economy is declining, other than paying for black deals?

I do not like to tell the Minister of Finance, but black capital, and waste of money do not lead to an immediate downgrade, but they are still a significant problem, and someone will have to pay for it.

So if the finance minister really thinks the time of the stressors has passed, I have an offer for him.

If the stressors are irrelevant when they warn that the conduct of the government will cause us all to pay too much, maybe he will agree that the stressors (especially me) will not be relevant even when it comes to paying taxes on all the unnecessary debts he creates?
